In-Office Meetings

There are a limited number of face-to-face appointments available on Tuesdays during the day in the Hunters Hill office (located near the Gladesville Rd and Ryde Rd intersection).  There may be a waiting list.  Please send me an email if you would like to book a Tuesday appointment.

Online Meetings

You can browse my schedule and reserve a session time

for an online meeting by clicking this button:

If no appointments are visible, it means that I am fully booked and have temporarily closed the booking system.  If so, you can send me an email and ask to go on the waiting list. There are no evening or weekend appointment times.

When both parties have new equipment and a good internet connection, the technical quality of an online meeting is excellent. I have fast internet and I use a new iPad Pro with a high-resolution camera.   With a good internet connection, you will see an excellent video of me.  For me to also see an excellent video of you, you need to use your smartphone or iPad, not a computer. The webcams on most laptops do not have great cameras and do not give the experience of good eye contact. Please have a stand like this to hold your device and a headset speaker/microphone (otherwise I may hear an echo).

Facetime and GoogleDuo both provide a private, secure conversation, using state-of-the-art security and end-to-end encryption. Both let me call you directly without having to email you a link

If you have an Apple device, we can use FaceTime with Google Duo as a backup

If you have an Android or Windows device, we can use Google Duo.

If the GoogleDuo app is not on your phone already, you may need to download and install it from the Apple App Store or the Google Playstore.

Session fees

Couple and family sessions: each 70-minute session is $350. This includes 60 minutes of therapy and 5 minutes at the beginning and at the end for administration (logging in, payment, organizing next appointment time).

Individual sessions: each 60-minute session is $300. This includes 50 minutes of therapy and 5 minutes at the beginning and at the end for administration (logging in, payment, organizing next appointment time).

48 hours are required to change or cancel a session. Any less notice and the full fee is payable. My calendar will send you an email reminder three days before the session.

Sessions always start and finish at the arranged time. I won't keep you waiting. Conversely, we don't go overtime if you arrive late (which is the only way I can guarantee that I won't keep anyone waiting).

I will send you an invoice a couple of days before the session.

Pay the day beforehand by bank transfer and save time during your session and save the credit card fee.

You can pay at the start of the session by credit card or debit card or, if in person, by cash.

A transaction fee of 1.75%  plus 30 cents (which is what Stripe charges me) will be added to credit or debit card transactions.

Claiming a Rebate

There are NO private health rebates for these services.

There are NO Medicare rebates for couple or family therapy.

You do not need a doctor's referral to see me.  However, if a doctor does refer you for INDIVIDUAL therapy, you can claim a Medicare rebate of $77. Your psychiatrist or your GP must refer you to me as part of a mental health case management plan.

Please tell your doctor that I am a "Mental Health Social Worker"  not a psychologist.   Your doctor can fax these 2 documents to me directly on 02 8583 6521 or you can send them yourself.

If you want to claim a rebate for your first session, I must receive a referral letter from your doctor AND a copy of your Mental Health Plan before or on the day of your FIRST session.

For you to claim a Medicare rebate, I am required to write to your doctor. Other than that, I do not under any circumstances write reports for any purpose for anyone.  If you think that you might need a report for legal or compensation reasons, now or in the future, I can’t help you and you should not choose to work with me.  Instead, you should find a professional who writes reports as part of their regular practice.

Email is not a confidential form of communication. For this reason, please use email ONLY for arranging or confirming appointments.

The information you provide to me is held in strict confidence. The only exceptions to this are:

If you give me written consent to communicate with your doctor or other professionals. To claim a Medicare rebate, you must consent for your doctor to send and receive information from me.

If I am concerned about the safety of you or a family member. I am required by law to report when a child is at risk and I have a duty of care to all family members.

If you are attending couple or family sessions and I see one or more family members for an individual session. In these instances, information may be shared with other family members.
